Welcome to the Division of Molecular Radiation Sciences

This is the basic science research unit of the Department of Radiation Oncology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. The focus of the unit is to decipher how our cells respond to genetic lesions, how the lesions on the DNA are being sensed and repaired, and how these pathways may be perturbed in cancer. The aim is dual – we wish to understand how these mechanisms have evolved to protect us from cancer, and second, how to harness this knowledge into clinical utility in terms of increased diagnostic, prognostic or therapeutic opportunities.

Please visit our site for more information on research, people and opportunities to grow together with us!
