About Us

The Division of Molecular Radiation Sciences (MRS) at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is a newly-established research unit that focuses on understanding the DNA damage response and repair pathways involved in human cancer. MRS is a major new initiative by the Department of Radiation Oncology designed to bridge basic and translational research.

MRS is located in the David H. Koch Cancer Research Building at the East Baltimore Campus of the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, in close proximity to a multitude of modern research facilities and core services. Currently, MRS houses seven laboratory-based research groups and is affiliated with several others that together integrate cancer biology, radiation physics, and patient-oriented research.

MRS investigators are also members of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins
